Counselling for couples
It is difficult to maintain a strong and supportive relationship whilst coping with the demands and stresses of life.
You may feel that you have grown apart; that your relationship is stale and no longer gives you satisfaction. You may be experiencing difficulties with communication, problem-solving or sexuality.
Couple therapy involves:
- exploring issues in the safety of a neutral, confidential environment
- working with a therapist who doesn’t take sides, but helps each of you to identify your individual and joint needs and wishes
- helping each of you to develop an awareness of your part in the relationship, both positive and negative
- agreeing together your goals in coming to counselling, and working towards these in a way which suits you both
